Oct. 8, 2011 Call to Africa Update

October 25, 2011

We are at the sports Complex today for the soccer tournament in Masunga, Botswana today and Clyde Watts from OKC will present the gospel tonight. Last night we were in front of the store front and bar in Sabena. Many precious souls came to Christ last night after the presentation by Rally team and testimony of Josh McNeil and then I presented the gospel, many came to Christ. Then I went to the Supermarket and shared the gospel with the employees 6 of the 7 employees prayed to receive Christ. Then the Rally team performed another puppet and Clyde presented the gospel again, 3 more publicly professed Jesus, then they cut the power off and more came desiring to hear the gospel.

Jeff Sukup asked me to speak to a woman who had 10 people with her she had just come out of the bar and drank half her beer, then after hearing the gospel she said I am a sinner and I have been drinking but I want to be saved. She told the others with her to listen because she wanted to hear the gospel. We prayed with her and she said she was going right then to pour out the rest of her beer because she wanted to be saved and trust Jesus instead of alcohol to solve her problems.

One Muslim came by and received Christ, after hearing the gospel, but was too shy to come forward. Scott Shipes was standing next to him as he kept coming closer during the gospel presentation and he told Scott YES, I need this Jesus! They ran him down and gave him a bible and he left rejoicing!! WOW! God is so great!

Pastor Linda and George have been such great host, the Pastor conference was such a blessing with Brian teaching the book of Romans. I couldn’t leave as the Lord was moving among the Pastors there was a great openess to discuss those doctrinal issues that are foundational  to our faith! Thank you all for praying for us and please pray for Clyde tonight as he presents the gospel.
Tomorrow we will be at Masunga Senior Secondary School at 8AM, then another school at 9AM , then the Rally team with Brian will head back to Gabarone and we will go into to Zimbabwe, for Sunday night church services and meeting with leaders on Monday and Tuesday with crusades at night, then Wednesday we will travel to Gaborone to participate in OBC (Open Baptist Church) Missions Conference on Thursday and Friday morning, then leaving at 5PM to begin the journey home.
Thank you so much for the prayer and support of  my wife, my family, our church family, our partners, and the team from OBC,  Scott and Tonya Shipes, and Jeff Sukup has done an excellent job setting us up for success with the leadership and our host Linda and George.
Blessings!
